Quilted Bed Runners

a couple asked for matching bed runners themed together but in very different materials

it takes a while to decie on fabric and then on how it should be placed together; here the client has the chance to choose

how you cut and first sew up fabric impacts on the precision of the final piece, how the back looks is as important as how the front looks

having decided on building blocks the client can choose from a range of possibilities for the final piece

in order to carry a theme but not be identical, the two pieces had to progress alongside each other

to maximise moods in the bedroom each quilt had two contrasting sides

in a very squared out pattern any inconsistency will show, so sometimes parts have to reworked to iron out kinks

a bed quilt needs to look right on the bed, so as well as careful measuring, a final check is needed in situ

the flip side of the second quilt is the most vibrant option for when this is called for
